A quantitative data set on protest organization and participation by Russian parliamentary opposition parties during the "for fair elections" protests between December '11 and March '12

Description
The quantitative data set is in .dta format. It includes basic economic and demographic measures of 76 out of Russia's 83 regions (in 2011). It also includes variables on protest mobilization by the parliamentary opposition parties as measured by the number of protests organized and the number of mobilized (visually recognizable) party activists per region. Furthermore, a measure of cooptation of the parties in the regional legislatures in included - i.e. the number of committee chairs that each party controls in the period between December 2011 and April 2012.
