Foreign policy orientations and democracy assessment in Ukraine (2012)

Description
The survey was conducted by the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation and the Razumkov Centre sociological service from 30 March to 4 April 2012.
The survey includes questions about Ukrainians' attitudes toward democracy, assessment of government agencies' functioning, foreign policy orientations before the Revolution of Dignity took place in 2014 and before Russia occupied Crimea in 2014.
A total of 2009 respondents aged 18 and older were interviewed in all regions of Ukraine including Kyiv and the Autonomous Republic of Crimea. The sample was representative of the adult population of Ukraine by key socio-demographic indicators. The survey sample was stratified, multi-stage, random with a quota selection of respondents at the last stage. The survey was conducted in 132 settlements (including 79 urban and 53 rural settlements). The theoretical sampling error (excluding the design effect) does not exceed 2.3% with at the 95% confidence interval. The survey was funded by the UNITER project.
This data collection contains the original survey data. The SPSS file (.sav) is the original file. It has been exported into an Excel file. The content of the respective xlsx-file is identical with the original sav-file. The sav-file contains the questions and answer options of the original questionnaire in Ukrainian. Both original Ukrainian questionnaire and English translation of the original questionnaire are included in this data collection as separate pdf-files.
